2011 Tri for a cure start at Spring Point Lighthouse
Maine Cancer Foundation’s 4th Annual Tri for a Cure took place Sunday, July 31, 2011 and was an overwhelming success! The event raised over $1,000,000 for cancer research, education and patient support programs across the state, making it the most successful event in Maine Cancer Foundation’s history.
For some Tri for a Cure was a personal goal, for others it was a tribute to a loved one or a lost friend. For all, it was a movement to raise money for a cause that has touched so many lives…cancer.
Tri for a Cure’s success is due to the determination and hard work of an excellent committee, dedicated staff, dozens of sponsors, 450 volunteers, and 1,100 inspiring athletes. Words cannot express our thanks to everyone who contributed their time and effort to the event. We are grateful to have worked with so many wonderful people.

July 29th 2012 will be the next tri for a cure and registration begins in early February. It sells out very fast if you are interested.
